This Privacy Policy explains how Pill Creative Studio LLC (“we”, “us”), which operates Escape Sameness at escapesameness.com (the “Site”), collects, uses and protects your personal information. We collect only what we need to run the Site, deliver your purchase and answer your requests. We do not sell your personal information.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us:

  • When you buy a Brand: your name, email address, billing country and any details you provide at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; we receive confirmation of payment but never your full card number.
  • For your domain transfer: your registrar, the account email or customer number you give us, and any notes you add.
  • When you start a project or contact us: your name, email, company, website, budget, timeline and the details of your request.
  • When you join our list: your email address.

Information collected automatically: like most websites, our hosting provider records technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited and the date and time of your visit, for security and to keep the Site running. The Site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers. We do not use advertising cookies. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy.

2. How we use your information

  • To process your purchase, deliver your download link and transfer your domain.
  • To reply to your questions and project requests.
  • To send you emails about new brands, if you subscribed — you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
  • To keep records required for accounting and tax purposes.
  • To protect the Site and our customers from fraud, spam and abuse.

3. How we share your information

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as needed for them to do so:

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • GoDaddy or your chosen registrar — to transfer your domain.
  • Our website host (WP Engine) — to host the Site.
  • Our email providers (such as Microsoft 365 and Brevo) — to send and receive emails.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes (generally up to seven years). We keep project inquiries and messages for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and newsletter addresses until you unsubscribe.

5. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop sending you marketing emails, by writing to hello@escapesameness.com. Depending on where you live — for example, California, other US states, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom — you may have additional rights, such as the right to know what information we hold, to receive a copy of it, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we may keep information we are legally required to retain.

If you are in the EEA or UK, we process your information to perform our contract with you (your purchase), to comply with legal obligations, on the basis of our legitimate interests in running and protecting our business, and with your consent for marketing emails.

6. Do Not Track

Your browser may send “Do Not Track” signals. Because we do not track you across other websites, the Site does not respond differently to these signals.

7. Security

The Site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), payments are handled by Stripe, and download links are private and expire. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

8. International visitors

We are based in the United States and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. By using the Site, you understand your information will be processed there.

9. Children

The Site is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed, and significant changes will be highlighted on the Site.
